The Tin Can Travellers

Hello and hi! We are a gingery bunch that has a serious case of wanderlust. While the Army has provided us with almost a decade of travel and adventures, we are about to depart from it. Again. We bought a renovated 32' travel trailer with the dream of traveling the country for a year. A gap year if you will. Nothing like a global pandemic to really put a kink in your military separation plans, amiright? Since we can't plan diddly, this is our plan. Definitely. Maybe. It depends on how things with the Army shake out. TBD if you will! We have been hurrying up and waiting for a while now, so we will continue down that road until the Army cuts Steve loose.

Steve is this hottie I'm married to. He's been in the Army in some capacity since 2006 and putting up with my nonsense since 2009. He deserves many awards for both commitments. You can usually find him in a homemade tie dye shirt with a kid or two hanging off of him while he climbs a mountain or fixing everything that four kids inevitably destroy as a by-product of their being awake. He is up for anything, always ready to help others, and is a big fan of mountain views and pizza. He is the muscle and know-how behind every idea I have and there is no better cheerleader than Steve.

These are our four kids- Sam, Molly, Will, and Hank. Their personalities are too big and complex to ever condense into one paragraph, but in case they read this one day... You fools are the reason for every adventure we take, every choice we make, every gray hair on my head, and every dish in the sink. We want nothing more than for you to have a life full of opportunity and adventure while also cultivating a deep love and appreciation of the beautiful nature God has made for us. Only time will tell if this life will land you in therapy or make you a fun addition to dinner parties.

We will travel in this gorgeous 2018 Nissan NV 3500 SL and live in the renovated 2005 Keystone Cougar 301 BHS. Facebook Marketplace for the win!

And I'm Jenn- I have a terrible memory, hence my need to blog. Because one day my kids will be like, "remember that year you made us live in a travel trailer and we drove all over America?" And I'll be like, "huh? What? I don't remember any of that. Who are you people? Where is your mother? I've been babysitting y'all for an eternity."
I tie the shoes, make the pizzas, homeschool the kids, take the photos, and come up with the many insane ideas that Steve signs off on. I strive to be in more photos and become a better ground guide during trailer parking because apparently it's not kosher to follow my voice into a spot. Who knew? Not me! Thanks for following along! Buckle up!
